“Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and no town or house divided against itself will stand. (Mt. 12:25)
When the Israelites were rebellious and not faithful to God, God sent Isaiah to the Israelites with this message; “Go and say to this people: Listen carefully, but do not understand! Look intently, but do not perceive! Make the heart of this people sluggish, dull their ears and close their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and their heart understand, and they turn and be healed.” (Isaiah 6:8-10)
In these times of unrest and upheaval let us redouble our prayers in earnest and ask for God’s forgiveness, mercy, and healing of this rebellious nation.
Father in heaven, who knows the hearts of all men, look with mercy upon your creation, and in spite of our rebellion, lead us back into union with you. Help us to live in harmony with each other. We ask this through Christ out Lord. Amen
